And we made a huge mess in the process! And then we had a soap bubble fight...and had to go get a mop. And then made mug cake, but unfortunately not gluten-free...so we'll see how this turns out! They aren't very big...-cough-
Wrote 1000 words on my 5000 word paper last night. That's pretty awesome! Tonight the mission is do some readings for the Collections class, and do another 500-1000 words! I feel confident, but it might be because I have coffee and some shiny nail polish on.
That t-shirt comes from the Market Collective. It's lovely~
Where did my plugs go? Oh mah, it's magic! Or, it's a present from Jimmy! (We'll get the other side sorted out soon~ haha)
He send me a set of flesh coloured plugs to wear for re-enacting events. By no fault of his, the company took the order wrong and only sent me one so complaints are to be made in that regard...I definitely have two ears! My ears are a bit red around the edges, so to make it actually look all sneaky and things I have to put a tiny bit of cover-up around the piercing, but it does a pretty darn good job right? (Why couldn't vikings have stretched their ears? It would be easier that way...for me...)
The first picture is an example of my distaste for 7am and the fact that I have another test to write at 9:30am. Last one. Laaaaast oooooneeeeeee! Well, last midterm at least, which is something huge because the bloody things last For. Ever. aRG! Then it's off to draw artifacts, because I have another commission to do (Oh yes!), and I think that will overlap with my Museum Management class...but it's just a field trip to a museum that I go to at least once a month, and we no longer have tests or anything that isn't a paper in that class, so I'm not to worried if I don't end up going. I also know people in the class who can tell me about it later. :D
As another note, look how long my hair is getting!
There is so much work to be done right now. I've got a midterm (last one!), a paper, an exhibit design, a presentation for the exhibit design, a 5000 or so word paper to research and write, a presentation for that paper, three final exams and one quiz + take home essay section for the quiz, some shifts at work, meetings, illustrative work to do, more study abroad stuff, probably more scholarships to apply for, eventual packing and returning home for about a week, then on a plane and another plane to meet with Jim in the UK!
Can it be May now please? I'm tired of being here~
...because I definitely wear sweatpants for most of the day.
Come home from class? sweatpants. Bedtime? Sweatpants. Any point when I don't have to interact with people I don't know? Sweatpants! Just the comfiest!
Haha...what kind of a facial expression am I making there? oh goodness.
So, what I wanted to say was that for the second week in a row, my Legacies of Mesoamerica class has been cancelled due to unknown reasons. Dang it Geoff! At this rate, I'm not going to go illustrated anything else for the rest of the year because he's got the lab keys...it's his lab. Christina, Chip, Kelsey, and I did have a lovely little sit around after going to tims though which was nice! I do love hanging out with all of them. Zoo on sunday!
In terms of work I have to be doing...I'm working on a paper right now. I have another paper due on Thursday which I have finished. (just hope the prof likes it! arg!) I finished anooooother paper, just to get it out of the way, as it isn't due until the very last day of classes. I've got a 5000-word paper due a month from friday, but the prof hasn't given us much about it so no one has actually started..which is horrible because we have to actually do a short presentation about that paper...the week before it's due. Who is actually going to have it done by then?! me..probably. haha... There is also a 'marketing project' in the same class as the long paper, which is due in two weeks, and we all know absolutely NOTHING about. And a group project in my other museum class which we also know nothing of, but it isn't til the end of classes either. And a quiz a week from yesterday. And 3 midterms in two weeks. (studying has commenced. oh tlaloc why?!) And...some finals. And article reviews (I have to do one or two before thursday! ack!)
On the upside...it will make the next two months pass pretty quickly! If I have an unmelted brain by the end of it, everyone please clap.
